As part of the 2009 More Outdoor Initiative, we’ve got an event coming up in mid-April that you’re going to want to save the date for. Taking off where last year’s Dandy 35 left off, we’re in discussion about another ride, which will likely be more organized (with actual plans on course, food and festivities) and more acceptable to casual riders (which we’re all casual riders).
The plan this year is shaping up like this…(and I’m trying not to spill the beans too soon)
- We’ll start from somewhere in town.
- We’ll ride a trail that hasn’t been ravaged by a 100 year flood.
- The total length will be approximately 15-20 miles (half of last year’s course).
- The course will loop back to the starting point and we’ll enjoy festivities.
- It will be free. You will just need to bring a bicycle. Nothing fancy, just a bike that will be comfortable for 2-3 hours of very leisurely riding.
