I apologize for my absence over the past few weeks. I took a job working on the wardrobe department of a small film and have spent the last few weeks shopping and hitting up my favorite local shops and designers to help create personal style for people who don’t even exist-film characters.
I’m about to run to set, but I did have a few discoveries worth sharing. As I may have mentioned, I’ve been doing a TON of shopping these weeks.
Of course, we got the basics at Target. But when we needed some seriously interesting wardrobe options with character, I id what I’d do for myself: I hit up SMASH, Vitae, and Dorthea’s closet. And they did not let me down. Thanks to these kick ass local stores and the designers who run them I was able to clothe our actors in something unique. I wanna give most love to Seth at SMASH who literally let us borrow the shirt of of his back. Not only was watching him remove the shirt a nice little show, it also looked great on camera. And also, the girls at D.C. and Vitae for letting us use their goods. This (great clothes made by supportive people and Seth shirtless) is why I love this city. Check these stores out. You’ll look better for it.
This tip is so quick and easy you won’t believe your eyes-or how much time and cash you save!!
Use a clear lip gloss (I love Hard Candy-clear) and a good eyeliner brush. Coat the brush in the gloss and choose any color of eyeshadow to drag the brush through. Be careful to make sure that the powdered shadow is mixed well with the gloss and then line your eyes. The gloss turns the pigments into a really thick paste so you’ll want to use a high quality shadow with lots of pigment-MAC or L’oreal HIP shadows are great for this.-and you can afford to spend more on shadow if they do double duty as liner as well!
Enjoy, lovelies!
Just watch:
I may catch hell for posting under someone elses catagory, but this rant is NOT going to be charming-even by my standards.
I got a call from my mom today saying she’s ben in an accident. I arrived on the scene (which made the news) to find the back end of my mom’s car destroyes and my mom’s face bashed up from cheekbone to forehead. Her car was totaled in the 4 car pileup. The person who smashed into her at 65 (!!) miles per hour drove away after hitting her so hard that she spun into oncoming traffic.
What kind of a person DOES that?!
I took her to the ER, she doesn’t have a concussion, but irt breaks my hear to see her smashed up face. I couldn’t hold her tight enough.
So, whoever the hit-and-run-ner is:
Die in a fire.
I’m cursing you.

I had the rare joy of interviewing The Enigma a few weeks ago before he and his partner in crime, clothing designer and side show siren Serana Rose hit VEISHA like a freight train. No words can do a show like theirs justice, but a visit to their site can explain their “Sideshow Devil” antics far more clearly than I. If ever there was a show that could fill up a website, it’s The Electric Acid Theater!
During our interview we discussed his unusual look. As you can see, this guy has gon far beyond what your average Joe to create a personal style that is all his own. Though most people believe that fashion is a form of self expression, The Enigma takes is to a whole new level, alowing his own body to be a masterpiece collaborated on by hundreds of artists worldwide.

Now, being the mistress of Miss Nicole’s Charm School and Style Academy, I thought it only appropriate to practice what I preach.
My best friend Lauren Hickman will be home from the bright lights of NYC this week and we’ve decided to throw together an impromptu birthday bash. But we won’t be the only ones getting presents…. Continue reading ‘Get The Goods:’
“Aftershow” is a fun new way to see totally informal, unscripted discussion with entertainers in their element. We’ll be backstage after shows, in the green room before appearances, or hanging out during breaks in filming. I’ve decided that these chats can be a cool new way to gain insight into different people’s perception of fashion. Performers’ jobs give them the unique opportunity to travel the globe-and their personal style tends to reflect that exposure. Continue reading ‘Phase Two Talks Fashion’
I had a great time interviewing my great buddy, performing artist and fashion designer Serana Rose for my first ever lesson on “Stage Style.” Continue reading ‘Stage Style-Serana Rose’
