Thanks for the applications for the “Makeover” class at the Charm School and Style Academy! After reading through the applications I found the perfect student for this project.
Sadie is a 19 year old part time student working in retail. She’s recently made some big changes in her life; after leaving a long term relationship and moving out of her childhood home and in with a roommate Sadie is ready to change her look as well as her life.
Though by no means a fashion tragedy, Sadie hasn’t done a thing with her hair in about 4 years. On her days off work she dresses in jeans and band T-shirts. Her typical footwear are clogs or boots. Sadie only owns one dress that she likes. Though she is adept at makeup she is very open to some tips there too.
Our plan: to give Sadie a cut and color that is easy to maintain and requires little fuss to look polished. We want to take her normal jeans and T’s up a notch and scout for shoes that are sensible enough that she will actually wear them but stylish enough that she looks great while feeling comfortable. We’d also like to flatter her figure with a dress or two that will look great whether she is out with friends or at a conservative dinner with her family.
Mel from Salon Utopia will be wielding the beauty tools while Brinny D. captures the before, during, and afters of the process. Miss Nicole will be supervising, styling, and helping out.
