hi my name is nick or nine or $trick9. i’m a rapper/AV geek/young professional from des moines, iowa. “rule of nines” is my column. this month i’ll be counting down the top 9 features on our new site, the one you are looking at this very moment, whitepoison.com

the ninth best feature of this website is the interface. duke and i maintained yostrick9.com for three years without fully understanding the power and flexibility of wordpress (the open source blog ap this runs on). we read a couple books, experimented for a couple months and ultimately enlightened ourselves. this site is slicker than snot on a doorknob.

first, i direct your attention to the search box at the top of the first column. enter the word “truth”, don’t even press enter. it loads up every page and post containing that word. holy dinah. it gets better.

you’ll need a facebook or myspace account for this one. go back to the main page and scroll down to the post titled “hard core” featuring sesame street and M.O.P. it’s absurd. watch it. it’s ignorant, right? that means it’s perfect to post on your profile. right beneath the video you’ll see the words “spread poison”, click on the appropriate icon and post it up. daaamn gina!

next, scroll all the way to the bottom of the first column. see all the flags where it says “foreign substances”? you can read our site in a variety of different languages. that’s right, send a link to your cousin in Ukraine. he’ll know what’s up. i am shaking like a little dog pooping peach pits. this is an amazing site.
